Hearn offers Khan 60/40 for Brook fight, says Khan wanted £10 million

Eddie Hearn has responded to Amir Khan after the British fighter took to social media to say that a 50/50 split with Kell Brook was unfair. Khan criticised Brook for wanting an even split, claiming that the IBF champion is not worth that money.

Khan took to social media to slate Kell Brook which forced promoter Eddie Hearn to respond.

Hearn said on Twitter: “Ok I was asked not to say anything in media re our negotiations but guess that’s been breached. On Monday I met with @AmirKingKhan lawyer.. He asked for a £10m guarantee with upside to fight Brook with Kell getting approx £2 to @2.5m. After I spat my coffee out we said no thanks.’

Hearn did say that he is talking to Al Haymon to make the summer showdown and says his fighter is willing to take a smaller split.

‘We are willing to take the smaller split to get this made but enough of the insults. @AmirKingKhan we will make this easy for you 60-40 in your favour (Kell is World Champ) and you have it.’

Brook also spoke about Hearn’s split offer saying, “There you have it @AmirKingKhan – put up or shut up. No more talk, June 4 Wembley Stadium for the World title. I will destroy you.’
