Klitschko looking to silence ‘big mouth’ Fury

Wladimir Klitschko is a much-reserved character with the ultimate level of professionalism in the boxing game. Though his style is much debated by the masses on the level of excitement it may provide, no one can question his character, acting as a role model to other fighters and fans.

Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury agreed a 11th hour deal on Monday and it seems that Klitschko is very familiar with Fury’s verbal presence, stating he had to deal with a ‘big mouth’ in the form of David Haye before.

“I have experience fighting a British guy with a big mouth. Remember David Haye, this fight with Fury is pretty much the same situation as it was with David Haye. Fury has a big mouth and is more famous for that than his fighting,” Klitschko told ESPN.

Klitschko endured a much-prolonged campaign with David Haye, where the Brit made much of a nuisance of himself to get an opportunity to get into the ring with the champion. With much pre-fight goading, Klitschko prevailed comfortably and the Ukrainian looks to do the same with Fury.

“I believe the hype for this fight will be similar or even more than the David Haye fight, but David Haye was a [natural] cruiserweight,” Klitschko said. “This guy [Fury] is a massive guy, tall, a true heavyweight, big mouth and undefeated. It is a real threat, so to say, for the champion, which is me in this case. Many people look forward to see how the champ is going to handle it.

“Fury’s young. He’s a little bit off in his head, but he is going to come to fight. David Haye pushed me with all his talk and I had fun with it. It was very tense, but it was fun. I think with Tyson Fury, who knows what he will do. I look forward to it. The press conferences will not be boring. But I’ve heard it before and seen it before.” Klitschko said to ESPN.
