The 26-year old Orozco (18-0, 14 knockouts) is becoming a known slugger in the junior welterweight division; his relentless style of attack is enticing. Named the January West Coast Prospect of the Month by BehindTheGloves.com, Orozco has formulated a winning strategy to stay undefeated, training out of beautiful San Diego, Calif., at the House of Boxing with trainer Carlos Barragan, Orozco has tons of momentum coming off six consecutive knockout wins. The last few victims were Danny Escobar, Ivan Hernandez and Jose Reynoso. Orozco is steadily improving, becoming more dynamic, and becoming known for his blistering body blows that help him finish opposition.

While the game 35-year old veteran Miguel Angel Huerta (27-11-2, 18 KOs) is coming off two consecutive losses, an eight-round unanimous decision to Mauricio Herrera and fourth round TKO to former champ Mike Alvarado. Huerta’s last win was over five years ago defeating Juan Ramon Cruz via ten-round unanimous decision. Huerta definitely edges ring experience with forty professional fights. Huerta and Orozco equally hold a knockout chance.

To add to an already thrilling card, 40-year old Detroit native/former IBF champion Cornelius “K9” Bundrage (32-5, 19 KOs) will face Miami, Fla., southpaw Joey “Twinkle Fingers” Hernandez (23-1-1, 13 KOs) ten-round IBF junior welterweight final elimination bout. Subsequently, the former 2012 U.S. Olympian Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (8-0, 8 KOs) takes on Homer Fonsesca (10-6-3, 3 KOs).

If Orozco can scratch out another win he could move up the chain and draw a big name in the stacked junior welterweight division. Orozco is such a hot prospect that if Huerta pulls off the win, he could get back in the picture for some big fights. Meanwhile “K9” and “Twinkle Fingers” will dance it out to battle the IBF champ. Also, keep an eye out for former multi-divisional champ Abner Mares who will be at the event center to meet and greet fans.
