Kubrat Pulev will not fight Joey Dawejko on Saturday
Number one ranked heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev Was hoping to stay busy while he awaits his shot at Wladimir Klitschko. Pulev was set to fight Joey Dawejko this Saturday in Rostock, Germany according to the Bulgaria Today newspaper. Unfortunately, the fight could not be made in time for Saturday, sources close to Team Dawejko confirmed to BehindTheGloves.com.
Dawejko was to replace Elijah McCall at the last minute. Pulev (19-0, 10 knockouts) will likely be the next opponent for Klitschko after he faces Alex Leapai on Apr. 26. Dawejko (9-3-2, 3 KOs) scored an upset of Derric Rossy in January.
