Asif Vali sets the record straight on the split with Amir Khan!
When News broke that International Boxing Star, Amir ‘King’ Khan and long time business partner, Asif Vali, parted ways, many speculated that there may have been bad blood between the two which led to the split but I had the chance to speak to both parties and this couldn’t be more far from the truth.
BTG- News broke that you and long time client Amir Khan have parted ways. What was the reason behind this?
AV- I wanted to work with different clients and needed to challenge myself further, and when you work with one client it gets difficult to expand yourself and reach out to different projects.
BTG- Do you have any advice for Amir’s career now that you are both going separate ways?
AV- I don’t need to give Amir any advice he is a hard working individual and when he sets his goals he will go out and get them, his desire is to beat the best and he will, it’s just a matter of time.
BTG- Do you remain close to the Khan family?
AV- I am sure we will cross paths in the boxing world and I have the utmost respect for the family, I wish them the very best for the future.
BTG- What are your new business ventures?
AV- I aim to staying in boxing and I am looking at different projects and also to manage boxers and promote as well, so its exiting times for me and I am looking forward to the next few months, I am very close with a few announcements and with my new company Platinum Consultancy I hope to make an impact in Boxing.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with both Vali and Khan and I can say one thing that’s for certain; there’s only ever been mutual respect for one another. Vali has been along side the Khan camp for nearly a decade helping to mold and build Amir Khan’s career into what it is now. BTG wishes Asif nothing but the best in his new ventures in Boxing!
