Vitali Klitschko forced to retreat protest in Kiev

Former heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko used his reach to avoid the oncoming attack of heavyweight contenders during a formidable career and long reign as champion.

Since leaving the sport last year, Klitschko has found it difficult to avoid the aggression of angry mobs in his native Ukraine, where he is running for president as a leading contender for the opposing side of the current regime.

Sunday, Klitschko was attempting to calm mobs as they turned violent in Kiev over the recently signed anti-protest laws but instead found himself in the middle of the attacks. Shocking video showed being sprayed with a fire extinguisher, forcing him to retreat. You can find the video below.

It is almost incredible to realize that Klitschko has decided to pursue one of the few careers more dangerous than taking punches for a living.

  1. My boxing Comment – Vatali Klitschko forced to retreat after angry protesters attack him as he tries to talk to them. Klitschko Snr who once was the most avoided heavyweight contender and probably most successful in the ring has entered politics where everyone involved “fights more dirty than Mike Tyson biting Evander Holyfields ear inside the ring”. Hope Klitschko all the best but it’s a tough career choice with no rules, restrictions, limits or boxing referee to control the situation!
